Strawberries & Cream Oatmeal | Easy Toddler Breakfast
If your little one loves strawberries, this is such a fun way to switch up their usual oatmeal! We blend fresh strawberries and banana right into the milk, so you get strawberry flavor in every bite and the prettiest pink oatmeal.
A little Greek yogurt makes it extra creamy, and I love topping it with hemp hearts and crushed freeze-dried strawberries. It comes together in about 10 minutes and is just as good for grown-ups too!

Top with hemp hearts and crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Serve warm.
Notes
- For toddlers: The banana and strawberries naturally sweeten the oatmeal, so I usually don’t add anything else. Add extra milk or water to make it as soft as your little one prefers.
For adults: Add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey if you’d like it sweeter. Extra Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, nut butter or chopped nuts are also great toppings.
Milk: Any milk you normally use should work here. Dairy milk will make it especially creamy, but an unsweetened non-dairy milk works too.
Greek yogurt: Let the oatmeal cool slightly before stirring in the yogurt. Full-fat Greek yogurt makes it extra creamy, but any plain Greek yogurt works.
Hemp hearts: These add a little extra protein, healthy fats and nutrients without changing the flavor much. You can leave them out if you don’t have them.
Freeze-dried strawberries: These are optional, but I love crushing a few over the top for extra strawberry flavor and a little crunch.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The oatmeal will thicken as it sits, so add a splash of milk or water when reheating.
Freezing: You can freeze the cooked oatmeal, but I’d freeze it before adding the Greek yogurt and toppings. Freeze in individual portions for up to about 2 months, thaw in the refrigerator, reheat and then add the yogurt and toppings fresh.
For babies under 1: Don’t add honey.
